Adjustments are never easy. Well, sometimes, maybe.

It could be as simple as getting used to wearing your worn-out shoes and then buying a new pair.

Or it could be as hard as getting used to living alone for years, and then suddenly, you'll start living with someone or a group of people. May it be your family, relatives, or whatever.

Or... not forgetting that you got yourself a girlfriend who has 2 kids and she's on good casual terms with their dad, and that they are still legally married.

How fucked up can it get?

But here you are, swallowing the decision you made a year ago all because you love her. Trying your best every single time to accept everything on the table prepared for you. And even though it's been a year, things just keep on surprising you like every day is a new day of new revelations. But at the end of the day, it's still the same. Nothing's new.

Nothing has changed.

Except for the fact that you're still adjusting to those things and people around you.

No one knows how long it'll take. Not you. especially you. I mean, how would you know, right?

For some, they can just leave the hell out and then grab another.

For some, they can just go on and accept everything in a snap.

But for some, it might take some time. And sometimes, it's hard. Really hard. But you continue to try because of the only and very reason that you love her and nothing else.

This too shall pass, remember that.
